Your Role in the Therapy Process

Therapy is a collaborative effort. You don’t need to “do it perfectly,” but openness and

willingness to engage matter.

Sometimes that looks like:

  •  Trying a new perspective

  •  Practicing skills between sessions

  •  Being honest about what is or isn’t helpful

We also welcome feedback. If something doesn’t feel like a good fit, we want to know!

Therapy is an excellent place to practice giving feedback in a safe and nonjudgmental

space.

We approach this work from the belief that you already have strengths and

capacities—therapy is a space to reconnect with them and build on them.

A Final Note

Reaching out for therapy is a meaningful step. Whether you’re feeling stuck,

overwhelmed, or simply ready for something to change, you don’t have to figure it out

alone. We are here to help!
